Style Spotters Roundup: Dina Burke Interiors Curates

  • Highpoint Market Spring 2016 Preview from Rue
  • There is so much buzz about refreshing, organizing, rebirth and getting ready for the season I thought today’s blog would be a Roundup of some of my favorite design articles this week. Seeing your first  Robin or crocus may indicate Spring has arrived to most people, but for me it is the Highpoint Market. It’s one of the big things in the news of design this week!  While most of these items are probably to the trade only and not available yet, I wanted you to be  able to see the styles spotted and be among the first to know. Also I have listed some other articles of note. ~Dina  http://bit.ly/1RJpN85   https://dinaburkeinteriors.com/feed/

  •  9 brilliant ideas from wallpapered rooms: It’s not grandma’s wallpaper. Think of it as wall-covering adding texture and depth. I don’t agree with photo covering the doors in scenic wallpaper or the green leafs in this case. I prefer the wall paper not to be the focal point in most instances of large spaces as I think it can be overpowering. Horizontal stripes are fresh on this tonal covering. The idea of hanging artwork over the busy paper is actually what I am doing in my space because we bought this 1882 house 3 blocks from the scenic OH river and it came with some pretty busy wallpaper, but I’ve covered it with great art and it now is just another layer of texture.
