I am so jazzed by what Jonathan Adler is doing in this article I just had to tell you about it. There is nothing to add nothing to subtract it is perfectly balanced. It has to be that bench and it has to be that blue. if you take one thing away or add one thing it will be a completely different story told and the style would not be the same. This is the essence of great design and great style. It is in balance it is of function and the form is exquisite. All of the same principles can and should be put to use in any room of your home. Naturally with the peanut butter and jelly crowd there will be adjustments made that will not have to sacrifice style and contract (washable) fabric used and no sharp corners. For my clients that want to have a touched by a designer look with these sensibilities but at an affordable price that they can do themselves over time, I have a new soon to be released program in a DIY format that does just that– but more on that later while I answer a naughty puppy’s bark.
Jonathan Adler- a Designer’s designer- master of conquering this volume of space by the scale of the art work on the back wall with the paneling and saturation of color in the draperies. Without that color and the pattern of the rug the furniture would float away. to learn more of my tips click here
